As a Haircare Professional for the last 37+ years, I’ve worked in many facets of the hair industry. I studied in London with Jingles International to become a platform artist and an instructor in advanced hair techniques. This involved hair cutting, coloring and manipulating texture for different styles and trends. The skills and variations that I learned in London, I still use to this day.
After that experience I moved to San Francisco and worked for several well-known salons. Then I had the opportunity to open my very own salon in Union Square… Bush-Wack Salon. After 7 successful years, I had an opportunity to pursue my other passions: gemology and jewelry, which took me to New York and Miami. I still make jewelry today, but I found myself wanting to be back in San Francisco and in the hair industry.
I wanted to acquire some new techniques and I started back at a barber shop. Being able to use hairdressing and barbering techniques to make me what I call a cross of both. Sort of a hybrid.
For the last 5 years, I've been fortunate enough to have found a new home at Long Overdue (which I own and operate). And I couldn’t be happier!
I sign ASL (American Sign Language) and also speak Spanish.
